Dr. Victoria Fernando has been a dentist for over 20 years. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1996. Prior to this, she already earned 3 degrees in Manila, Philippines - Doctor in Dental Medicine in 1986, Bachelor in Arts Major in Humanities in 1982 and Music Major in Classical Piano in 1986. She was awarded Outstanding Clinician of the Year and also Outstanding Student Leader of the Year in 1986 for her involvement in numerous civic and community projects in the national level.
Dedicated to lifelong continuing education, she puts in numerous hours at various courses and seminars, much more than what is required by the Academy of General Dentistry. Some of Dr. Fernando’s coursework includes advanced training and knowledge in dental implants, periodontal care, and cosmetic dentistry. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Northeast Philadelphia Dental Implant Study Club, International Team in Implantology, and Chester and Delaware Counties Dental Society. Her approach to patient management has always been comprehensive and systematic. Dr. Fernando aspires for quality care at all times and at the same time, being gentle and caring.
Dr. Fernando has been in private practice in Greenhill Road since 2000. Her husband, Rick is a retired Physical Ed teacher whose hobby is sports photography for school and community games. He contributes his photos to and writes for The Review, Roxborough’s local newspaper. Michael, their son, currently teaches the English language in Japan and ventures in the culinary arts. They all share their love for the outdoors and music. Though she can always improve her golf swing, Dr. Fernando enjoys the sport and like everyone else, she is waiting for travel restrictions to clear up and get back to scuba diving.
