A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Fernando is an avid believer of healthy living is a healthy smile. “The most important part of a treatment plan is Phase 1, “so she says! “We must make our patients healthier above all first, i.e. eradication of disease and then we restore function and esthetics next.” This has always been the primary goal in her practice. Her approach to patient management is very comprehensive and systematic. Dr. Fernando always aspires for quality care and at the same time, being gentle and caring.
Dedicated to lifelong continuing education, she puts in numerous hours at various courses and seminars, much more than what is required by the Academy of General Dentistry. Some of Dr. Fernando’s coursework includes advanced training and knowledge in dental implants, periodontal care, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Fernando has served this community for more than 25 years. For this reason, she is most grateful for their support! She has built long-lasting relationships with her patients and has considered her a family. Her husband, Rick, is a retired Physical Ed teacher. He volunteers his teaching expertise in a local parochial school’s PE program. He engages in sports photography for school and community games and writes for The Review, Roxborough’s local newspaper. Michael, their son, has moved forward to culinary arts and travels around the world learning traditional and gourmet cooking. He currently resides in Japan. They all share their love for the outdoors. Her adventurous nature takes her to hike up mountain trails or down underwater scuba diving. Her golf game has improved a lot and would drag her clubs anywhere she goes.
